Brooklands ACSMC Sprint/Trials/Rally awards

Post by Redmist » Mon Feb 10, 2014 12:51 pm

It's a while since I have been to Brooklands and the decor seems to have changed/improved --- snazy red carpet and walls etc :) I thought the idea of interviewing award winners plus their cars put on screen was a great idea and made the day that much more interesting . There were no on event photos to send in of my car but obviously '' someone '' found an old photo at Eelmoor many years ago :o Some were pretty brief with their answers which made the interviewer work hard but all very amusing for us all
I particularly liked Simon Boulter's reply to his question --- '' what are your plans for the 2014 sprint season :?: '' Simon ---- '' to win every event I enter :P ''

Well done Simon  ---------and all who obviously put effort into the award ceremony behind the scenes and on the day :D -- these things don't happen on their own so thanks to all [Toast]

Yeah it was ok. The only gripe I had was all the rally lads patiently sad through the awards for sprint, hill climb auto test only for a lot of those discipline drivers to get up and walk out before the rally lads turn. I would go as far as to say it was quite rude. I have sprinted successfully in the past and collected a trophy at the acsmc awards for sprinting. I was more than happy to sit through the rally prizgiving. Sportsmanship if you like.

Yes --- have to agree with you Brian . A bit like not winning an event then walking away before the days awards presented --- seen that plenty of times :o

Can ypu imagine the moaning if it was the other way round.
Next year I proppose all awards are given out in the same order as this year except the overall prize for each discipline. Leave those until last ensuring all stay to the end.

I have to agree with this as well I was quite shocked to see so many people just get up and go. Not just 1 or 2 but as you have said a lot of them. It is a shame and also as Rob has said so many people do leave the events prior to the prize giving and it is always the same people that stay for it.

On a happier note Im really hungry and looking forward to my dinner :D

After looking at bacon and sausages all day I opt for some steamed fish or chicken in the evenings.
This two results. Health heart and lighter bodylicious for when I can afford to race again
