What class for the Sprint?

Post by Carl S » Mon Aug 18, 2014 11:40 pm

I'd like to enter my Karmann Ghia in the Sprint Royale, trouble is I can't figure out what class it should be in. The main modifications are a bigger engine (up from 1500 to 1951cc) and uprated suspension/brakes.

Can I go in Road Going Series Production Cars with these modifications, or is it Modified Limited Production Cars?

If it is Modified Limited Production Cars then I suspect there's all sorts of things like a roll cage that seems to be mandatory for this class (which I don't have) :(

As long as it's a road-going car, taxed, insured and MOT'd - which you need to show at signing on, it sounds as if you can come into the road going with the rest of us.
On the basis of what you say, I think you'll be OK, but perhaps best if confirmation can be provided by the organisers.
Hope to meet up again there!

Thanks Simon, I will now put my entry in for road going :-) looking forward to competing and seeing everyone again

Seeing as it has about the same power as your average Polo I don't think I'll be bothering any of the serious contenders!
But I can come out to play with the other road going classics so I won't feel too lonely :-)

Do you mean that? Or do you mean a Sprint, where the competitors take turns to marshal the course?
