Great venue for any petrolhead , used to be an RAF airdrome then a glider club but now a home for car/bike/plane artisan businesses . Everything from several million pound exotics for sale or just stored and prepared , individual car manufacture's restoration/repairs etc to specialist welding of steel/s. steel / titanium headers and exhausts by Ryan Edwards (ex-BTB) . The 4 wheel drive F1 Ferguson is also prepared here and many other Revival cars of that time. A BENTLEY Blower workshop and sales , the list is endless.
I've been there three times now since my first trip there in the GTAm on Jan 3rd 2016 , there are three other dates each year for these Scrambles . Food outlets for hungry drivers who missed breakfast to get there for 9-00am opening too . If you have a classic and pay online it's £5 entry :D
It was nice to meet up with Simon Taylor at the event too , not sure where he was until I found three FDMC event leaflets on my windscreen then caught up with him for a chat . Rubbish weather on my way to the event but did have a bucket and mitt in the boot to tart her up on Guy Lacklan's CLASSIC OILS stand before anyone saw the muddy water wheels and lower body :o The fine rain eased off by 11-00am and the sun came out which was great and lasted till I got back home at 2-00pm :P
You can find BICESTER HERITAGE online for details but their next scramble is early APRIL .
