A possible "speed forum" evening.

Lady and gentleman.

I have been approached by Dave Whyman, the ACSMC Speed Championship Co-ordinator to see if we would like to become involved, along with Sutton & Cheam MC, in a forum type evening to discuss and demonstrate sprinting and hillclimbing in the south of England. As the "single most active club for speed events the area" (Dave's words not mine!) would we like to become involved in running the evening.

The suggested date is Tuesday 23rd March, with the venue to be somewhere in the Guildford area. I know it falls on one of our Club nights but I feel it is something that we should be involved with. The idea is to attract new competitors as well as having a few experienced ones there as well. One of the items up for discussion is the new class structure.

Can you let me know your thoughts on this and if you would like to attend.

Yes, I would like to attend, if I can be of use. I feel that this could be a good opportunity, so long as we do our bit to publicise it, to boost the interest in speed events, and our membership in this spectrum.

A very good idea by David and "Yes" - we need to give this our support.

It will be interesting to see where the proposed venue is in the Guildford area.
