Well no one has come running to the defence of having the competition on line does that mean that we will do it back at the club rooms next year. Do I have to cancel my order for the 3D headset

I think theres advantages to both methods.
Moving things like this onto the forum may increase the usage of the forum by the less "tech-savvy" members of the club.
Internet forums are such an excellent way of building a community that it seems a shame that such a small number of FDMC members take part.
On the other hand, the lack of face to face contact causes a fair few "Keyboard warriors" to pop up and that in turn gives a very bad imprssion of the forum to any "Newbies" logging on.
It's more personal talking to people face to face, I may start a thread in the general section so people can put up a photo of themselves, their car and a little bit of info about themselves, just to put names and faces to usernames and encourage people to mix more at events and meetings.
I take a lot of photos throughout the year and have nevered entered in this competition until it was put online, I just find it less hassle.

I do agree with you but also at a recent commitee meet it was discussed why numbers at clubnights had fallen and then a good clubnight is taken away with the competition.
As for a whos who page I have thought about this and dare I say it coming from a "non tech savy" it would be a good thing to do. Are you putting your hand up to get it started?
