Thor is probably right - another club has tried on several occassions to get the use of Longmoor parade ground as a site for special tests on a historic rally and were only successful once, many years ago. Main reason seems to be 'heavy military use and other special uses' whatever they may be.

Looked pretty deserted to me :? . Both Bordon & Longmoor camps have seen a dramatic reduction in activity & personnel numbers in recent years.

Also looking at the map, there is some tarmac across the road.

The green arrow is forest edge kart circuit, the red arrows random tarmac?

The red arrow bits are what is known as Barton Stacey Camp, used by us in conjunction with the CSMA some years ago. This area is [or was] PR noise sensitive according to the Defence Estates land agent. The western area is reasonabe quality old asphalt but the other was beginning to break up quite badly last time i crept in there for a look around.

As Dave rightly says, Barton Stacey was used a few years back: http://www.fdmc.org.uk/SS2007repa.php
It was also used for rally practiace days on the looser gravel link roads. Not seen it used for a while now though.
