Autumn Antics 2014 - 19th October

The Sun's disappearing behind the trees a little earlier each afternoon; the leaves are starting to get that golden tinge around the edges, and the car is covered in dew each and every morning now! Yes, folks, it's that time again; time for the Autumn Antics, back again at that hub of motor-sporting excellence, Deepcut!

Regs and entry form are now available on the FDMC website;
http://www.farnboroughdmc.org.uk/AA2014.php
So, no excuses; you can even pay by PayPal yet again, so the love of your life (hey, man, who am I to judge...) won't even see your cheque stub.

As ever, if you can't enter, we could always do with a hand on the day, and the afternoon before, to ensure that the day goes as smoothly as our competitors have come to expect. Please contact me with your offers of help on 07818 747270.

OK, we have enough entries to run the event, so what we now need are some more helpers so we can run the event efficiently.
It would be great If I had some names before Sunday. As usual, we have many guest drivers from other clubs, so we want to prove to them that FDMC really is the best run club in the South.
Please contact me with your offers of help on 07818 747270 or by email or PM on here.

Entries are now closed.
Final instructions have been sent to all who have entered; please contact me if you have not received them.
We still need more helpers; only two have offered their help, and I need about 5 more!

Is there a map or a postcode for this place? Not been there, and may be well enough for a quick photo trip...

Sorry I can't help out Paul, I am slightly broken again.

Good luck though.

Hope you get better soon, Rich.

Oh well, looks like there's just three of us to run the whole event, then. Let's hope we can give the competitors some value for their entry fee. Good job it's not a sprint or a rally.

Hopefully, one of our photographers will soon be able to post a link to their photos from today.
Many thanks to Maurice May, Andrew Thompson, Roger Lane, Rachel Roberts along with Andy Deeley and Simon Taylor, whose Micra expired early on, for all your help today with running the event. We just scraped by again, didn't we?

A big thank you to all the organisers and marshals from yesterday; it was the first time I've done the Autumn Antics and it was a great event. Hope to see some photos up - I quite liked the look of the Micra covered in mud, but the wife has gone and put it through a car wash this morning. Boo.

Derek Partridge has uploaded some of his photos from yesterday, and they can be seen here:

If you want to contact him about any of these, use "derek dot partridge at sky dot com".
He says there may be more to come, along with some video, so keep a look out on here.

Also, Ian Trevena was out with his camera too, so we may see some from him in a while.

Many thanks, Ian. More great action shots, folks!
Also, have you all seen the SloMo video posted on Derek's site? See the link a couple of posts back.
