FDMC are invited to:-

Southsea Production Car Autotest - Sunday August 14th 2016 ... khJMFB5MmM

Southsea Motor Club, in cooperation with East Hants District Council and Go Motosport, will organise a Clubmans Production Car Autotest on Sunday, August 14th 2016 in the car park of East Hants District Council (EHDC) offices, Penns Place, Petersfield, GU31 4EX. We are extremely grateful to the staff at EHDC for their enthusiasm and the use of their facilities.

The senior event will consist of 5 classes as follows;

6.1 A. Historic - any car registered or manufactured before 1st January 1980.
B. Other saloons/hatchbacks/estates/4 seat coupés and convertibles up to 1400 cc
C. Other saloons/hatchbacks/estates/4 seat coupés and convertibles 1401 to 2000 cc
D. Other saloons/hatchbacks/estates/4 seat coupés and convertibles over 2000 cc
E. Production 2 seat sports cars (soft top or roof must be fitted)
Drivers under 21 who have competed in Autotests or AutoSolos should enter in this section.

6.2 In the Junior event EHDC wish to provide a safe and controlled introduction to Motorsport for 14 to 21 year olds within the EHDC catchment area and 20 of the available places will be allocated to the following age groups accommodate this.
This group will be split into;
6.2.1 Junior 1 14 to 16 years 364 days.
6.2.2 Junior 2 17 to 20 year 364 days old with no or a provisional licence.
6.2.3 Junior 3 17 to 20 year 364 days old with a full licence.

Suitable cars will be provided for all entrants in the Junior classes
The junior event is intended for people who have never competed in any type of Autotest or AutoSolo before other than similar events to this organised by EHDC.
It is essential that entrants for the Junior event MUST be able to drive a car to the extent that they are able to start the car, engage first gear, get the car into motion and be able to steer and brake to a standstill. It is unlikely that gear changing on the move will be required.
To assist with this requirement Southsea MC and East Hants District Council are planning to hold a basic driving session prior to the PC Autotest. The date and time for this has still to be finalised.
If any of the Junior class entrants would like to take advantage of this please let the Entry Taker, Chris Phillips know, by e-mail at
