Suspension set up

Post by avinall » Thu Dec 06, 2012 7:44 pm

After looking high and low I've given up searching for local suspension set up businesses.

A third party has recommended these guys who set up his mx5 which was running GAZ Gold Pro Coilovers, it's a bit of a treck for me so I was wondering if any one knew of anywhere a bit more local? I'm based in Haslemere.

(Paul, I remember you mentioned some thing about the above a few weeks back, had any luck yet?)

Thanks, Alan

Try these guys. They've setting up my Beastie's I & II (the Westfield BDH & Global GT). They're not the cheapest, but they've work on most things from my cars to BTCC, World Trucks, Mini Miglias & historics.

In the past I have used TGM based in fleet. They run a few DC5's in some European touring car series, so they do know their stuff.

I have used WIM in Chesham twice.
Tony knows his stuff and they are really good and helpfull.
Look on their forum, there have a few open days too for car clubs.
Hopefully you would not be disappointed what ever you decide to do.
Anyone on the Clio sites telling you much?

Thank you all for the advice... It's for my newly acquired e36 328 but at present I think it might of been a bad purchase so I'm toying with the idea of chopping it in half for a 1.4 which is more suited to first time entry into the world of road rallying :-)

Can highly recommend Wheels-in-Motion (Chesham); I use them for my RX-8 and Tony always ask me more questions about the set-up I require than I am qualified to answer!!

They are well renowned for setting up specific to your own needs; I usually plump for "OEM" or "Fast Road" or "Track" usually the middle one, based on the "OEM" with some tweaks to camber I believe.

Their equipment is top-notch (Hunter), and on days where no adjustments are actually required (I tend to go there every time I've cycled through a full set of tyres), they've not charged much.
