March Hare - 12 Car Navigational Rally - 4th March 2016

Post by Scoobydo » Fri Feb 12, 2016 11:05 am

Our annual March 12 Car is on Friday 4th March starting again from the Blackbushe Business Park and finishing in Eversley. 56 miles of country lanes using the south west corner of OS map 175. Let's hope it doesn't rain too much over the next couple of weeks as the area is subject to flooding as Simon & Adrian remember only too well!!!!

Again navigation for all classes and marked maps for the beginners.

The Regs have been emailed out to the regulars and will be posted on this website to download.

If you've not done a road rally before and want to know more then get in touch, details as below.

If you don't fancy competing but want to have a look a what goes on, then come out and help. We can team you up with an experienced marshal and you can have your own blast around the countryside.

Thanks to all the marshals that braved the cold last night to man/woman all the controls which even included two secrets such was the level of support.
Brief results as below with full results being emailed to all competitors & marshals ASAP.
1st Overall Chris Pratt and Glyn Hayward Basingstoke with a clean sheet. No boards missed or time dropped
2nd and 1st Novice Paul Boxall and Rhys Williams Southsea on 10 points which was one board and 5 mins.
3rd and 1st Beginner Barry Young and Cameron Young Dolphin on 20 points which was no boards missed and 20 mins dropped. (Bear in mind Cameron is only a young lad of 14 or so)
4th and 2nd Beginner on their first ever event Oliver Kemp and Gerard Wilk FDMC on 24 points which was 3 boards missed and 9 mins.
Thanks to everyone for supporting this event and I look forward to seeing you all again later in the year.
